Faluhíd és Hídszobrok

A kapolcsi Faluhíd őse valószínűleg már a középkorban is létezett az

Eger patak felett. A település önkormányzata és a Kapolcsi Kulturális

és Természetvédelmi Egylet 2000–2001-ben felújította az 1950-es

években készült uniformizált, vaskorlátos hidat. A Helyi Értéktárban is

szereplő hídszobrok alkotója Szurdi Éva keramikusművész. A jobb oldali

szoborfülkében Nepomuki Szent János (a vízimolnárok védőszentje),

a középsőben a Szentháromság (Kapolcs védőszentje), a bal oldaliban

pedig Miasszonyunk Mária (Magyarország védőszentje) foglal helyet.

The ancestor of the Village Bridge in Kapolcs likely already existed over the Eger stream during the Middle Ages. In 2000–2001, the local municipality and the Kapolcs Cultural and Nature Conservation Society renovated the uniform, iron-railed bridge originally built in the 1950s. The creator of the bridge statues, which are also included in the Local Heritage Repository, is ceramic artist Éva Szurdi. In the right-side niche stands Saint John of Nepomuk (patron saint of water millers), in the middle is the Holy Trinity (patron saint of Kapolcs), and in the left-side niche is Our Lady Mary (patron saint of Hungary).
