LAYRA, avagy Tóth Eszter énekes-dalszerző újonnan bemutatkozó szólóprojektje elektronikus, folk és világzenei elemekből épít egy különleges, magával ragadó világot, ahol a női őserő, az intim történetmesélés, a népdalokban kifejezett nyers érzelmek és saját szövegeinek természetessége harmonikusan egészítik ki egymást. Eszter citerán, gitáron, oktáv mandolinon, keretes dobon és banjon játszik, az utóbbi években a Napfonat a cappella női énekegyüttesben, a Lanou zenekarban és a Noémo formációban alkot aktívan, valamint szólóban is rendszeresen fellép. A LAYRA élő fellépésein live act duo formában, Öllős Dávid gitárossal szólal meg. LAYRA, or the newly introduced solo project of singer-songwriter Tóth Eszter, builds a unique and immersive world from electronic, folk, and world music elements. In this space, feminine primal energy, intimate storytelling, the raw emotional expression of folk songs, and the naturalness of her own lyrics harmoniously complement each other. Eszter plays the citera, guitar, octave mandolin, frame drum, and banjo. In recent years she has been an active creative force in the a cappella women’s ensemble Napfonat, the Lanou band, and the Noémo formation, while also performing regularly as a solo artist.
