Reni & Boka

Iszlai Reni és Szász Márk Boka duója 2022-ben alakult a Dunakanyarban. Renit a klasszikus, kortárs és kísérleti zene, Bokát Afrika, Brazília és Kuba zenéi inspirálták, közös világuk pedig a többszólamú ének, a hangszeres improvizáció és az absztrakt történetmesélés lett. Reni a Zeneakadémián végzett klarinét szakon. Háromszoros Communitas és Balassi ösztöndíjas. A Csendzengés, Babadala és Dallangoló interaktív zenés foglalkozások megalkotója. Tagja az újrahasznosított hangszereken játszó Bélaműhelynek. Csibi Borókával közösen a Születésed története című, háborítatlan születésről szóló könyv szerzője. Boka 13 éven át volt világutazó és mindenhol zenét tanult. Élt Brazíliában, énekelt színpadon Bobby McFerrinnel, jelent meg közös dala Palya Beával és Szalóki Ágival. A díjnyertes Szókimondóka fejlesztőjátékhoz 7 x 20 perc zenét és több tucat dalt szerzett. Rendszeresen tart improvizatív énekköröket felnőtteknek és iskolás gyerekeknek. Duójukkal 2025-ben megnyerték az Öröm a zene tehetségkutatót, 2026-ban pedig az NKA Hangfoglaló Programjának támogatottjai. Játszottak már: Fonó Budai Zeneház, A38, Fishing on Orfű, Everness Fesztivál, HUG Fesztivál, Erdélyi Nemzetközi Könyvvásár, Brüsszeli & Stuttgarti Magyar Intézetek The duo of Reni Iszlai and Márk “Boka” Szász was formed in 2022 in the Danube Bend region. Reni is inspired by classical, contemporary, and experimental music, while Boka draws influence from the music of Africa, Brazil, and Cuba. Their shared musical world is built on polyphonic singing, instrumental improvisation, and abstract storytelling. Reni graduated from the Liszt Academy of Music as a clarinetist. She is a three-time Communitas and Balassi scholarship recipient. She is the creator of interactive musical programs such as Csendzengés, Babadala, and Dallangoló. She is also a member of the Bélaműhely, a group that plays instruments made from recycled materials. Together with Boróka Csibi, she is the co-author of the book The Story of Your Birth, which focuses on undisturbed birth experiences. Boka spent 13 years as a world traveler studying music everywhere he went. He lived in Brazil, performed on stage with Bobby McFerrin, and has collaborated on songs with Bea Palya and Ági Szalóki. He composed 7 × 20 minutes of music and dozens of songs for the award-winning educational game Szókimondóka. He regularly leads improvisational singing circles for adults and schoolchildren. With their duo, they won the Öröm a zene talent competition in 2025, and in 2026 they became supported artists of the NKA Hangfoglaló Program. They have performed at venues such as the Fonó Budai Zeneház, A38, Fishing on Orfű, Everness Festival, HUG Festival, the Transylvanian International Book Fair, and Hungarian Institutes in Brussels and Stuttgart.
